This is a matter that concerns probably all students in South Korea and parts of Asia.
This is the hard facts
In South Korea, all high school students must take lessons in the holidays as long as they have free time. It is compulsory and must be followed. Those who are reluctant must get confirmation from their parents to notify that they cannot take the lessons. What is more, the reasons for not attending the lessons must be in written form and must be a reasonable excuse. For example; going on a surgery etc.
So does taking extra curriculum lessons in the holidays really help higher education students to learn more?
