The OECD hosted the 6th Statistical Information System Collaboration Community (SIS-CC) workshop at the OECD Delta Annex 4 quai du Point du Jour, Boulogne Billancourt, France, from 1.30pm on Monday 11 April to 6pm on Tuesday 12 April. The subsequent three days, Wednesday 13 to Friday 15 April 2016, were reserved for Community partners to give them an opportunity to help shape the future of the community and benefit from each others’ experience and ideas.
The first two days, as with the previous workshops (held in March 2011, March 2012, April 2013, April 2014, and March 2015), were open sessions and the OECD extended the invitation to other interested groups and organisations who have been considering using one of the SIS tools and wanted to know more about the community to learn from their experiences.
During the second half of the workshop, members only met and collaborate on community related key activities, producing specific outputs and making recommendations: review and enrich the 2016/17 programme of work and a product roadmap, review and improve community processes, build capacity among technical and business staff, report of the architecture task force and architecture roadmap, and interactions with other international collaboration processes.
This year the workshop theme focused on “The Agile Data Factory: Create and Combine Data Experiences”, exploring the building blocks that make up the foundation of the factory, integrating various data streams and processes, and creating user experiences on demand through service interfacing and mashup.
The OECD would like to thank everyone who participated and for their valuable contribution.
