In April 2021, we have launched the 2021 edition of the EC-OECD STIP Survey, the main data source used in STIP Compass. This represents a new decisive stage for the STIP Compass platform, involving more than 50 countries that participate in this collaborative project. The results of the survey will be used by the OECD and EC to prepare various reports, including the OECD's STI Outlook and other ongoing PWB (Program of Work and Budget) projects as well as (for EU Member states) the European Semester country reports. The deadline of the survey is 9 July 2021.
This site provides a number of resources to guide national contact points and other contributors in completing the STIP survey. These include: (1) a number of tutorial videos that illustrate how the online questionnaire tool can be used to answer the survey; (2) a set of frequently asked questions (FAQs) on what types of information the survey asks to be reported; and, (3) country scorecards that provide various indications of the country's level of reporting in the STIP Compass database as of 8 April 2021 (which was used to prefill the 2021 edition of the survey).

Click on a flag to open the country's dashboard on STIP Compass. Dashboards are interactive discovery tools for exploring country data. They provide entry points – by themes, policy instruments, target groups, annual budgets and main funding organisations – that summarise data collected in earlier rounds of the STIP survey.
Country scorecards include the following figures, giving various indications of the country's level of reporting in the 2019 EC-OECD STIP Survey as of 8 April 2021
